Professional career

With 25 years of expertise in the field of intellectual property both in Europe and Quebec, Béatrice Dubois first worked for 10 years as an intellectual property lawyer in law firms in France.

Subsequently, she spent 15 years as a trademark paralegal in Québec in an international firm. In this role, she played a key part in the filing, management and protection of trademarks both in Canada and abroad. Her responsibilities included conducting clearance searches and providing opinions on the availability of trademarks, analyzing examination reports and drafting arguments to respond to the Office actions both in Canada and abroad, legal monitoring of client’s portfolio. She was also involved in the preparation of assignment documents and coexistence agreements, as well as in opposition and cancellation proceedings for trademarks.

Her knowledge of global intellectual property issues has allowed her to effectively support a diverse clientele, ensuring their compliance across different markets.
