Me Pascale De Meyer works mainly in the fields of civil and commercial litigation as well as transport law
The practice of Ms De Meyer focuses mainly on regulatory compliance, the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and litigation related to transport law (rail and road) and construction law. She is called upon to act in all courts of the province as well as before the Commission des transports du Québec and the Canadian Transportation Agency. She also represents her clients before arbitration tribunals.
Throughout her career, Me De Meyer has worked as in-house counsel for a federal railway company. She oversaw the drafting and negotiating of major agreements relating to the transportation of goods, the construction of railway infrastructures and the development of commercial and roads projects. She also acted for this company during mediation and arbitration proceedings before the Canadian Transportation Agency. As such, she has in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the railway industry, including the Canada Transportation Act and the Railway Safety Act.
Me De Meyer also has experience in credit-related insurance and in supply chain finance, having occupied a position of legal director in the Finance Solutions – Supply Chain (Factoring) team of a major banking institution.
